Studio shop

Commissioned by Telliskivi Creative City, we designed a 320 m² extension to an existing building – created specifically for the joint studio-shop of Stella Soomlais and Reet Aus. The brief was simple: make it special. From several concepts, one emerged as the clear favourite: an arched reed facade, for which we consulted specialists in reed roofing. As the facade could only be installed during the warmer months, it was completed later than the rest of the building – the work was coordinated by Mikk Lankots of Telliskivi Creative City, who brought in RooProff OÜ as the reed facade contractor. The spiral staircase provides an evacuation route for the existing Green Hall, while the rooftop terrace serves the LIFT 99 community – a small addition with a big impact.
